This was an intimate wedding, and I had a list in hand to make sure I captured everyone. Once I had taken all the photos, I dove into the drawing. It was heartwarming to see how the guests kept checking in on my progress, and they were all so friendly and welcoming.

I quietly continued to paint during the wedding breakfast, aiming to finish just in time for the end of the speeches. When the moment came to hand out the portraits, I was deeply moved by the guests’ reactions—some even brought tears to my eyes.

It was a stunning venue and a truly beautiful wedding, filled with moments I won’t soon forget.

Upon arriving, I was greeted by a beautiful, hot sunny day. I had the pleasure of meeting the sweet, lovely, and talented @Hannahwilliamsharpist, who even played “Clair de Lune” for me before the wedding started (my favorite classical piece, as you might guess from my name!).

The decor was charming, inspired by the Bridgerton colour scheme with subtle powder pink and blue tones.

They set up my table outside, thankfully in the shade, with a perfect view of one of the prettiest fountains. I started by photographing the most important guests, and then sketched throughout the ceremony.

Many guests came over for a chat, curious to see what I was working on. I wrapped up during the last dance, leaving the guests with their portraits as lovely keepsakes from the day.

The ceremony was a breathtaking experience, held in a beautiful open barn with a violinist who played modern songs in a classical style. The celebrant was modern and engaging, sharing the heartwarming story of how Abby and Tom met, leaving not a single dry eye in the audience.

After the ceremony, I had the pleasure of photographing the guests, setting up my table, and sketching and painting throughout the wedding breakfast. Guests visited my table several times during the day, and it was wonderful to see their reactions. By the end of the day, they came to collect their cherished pieces of art, making the experience truly memorable for everyone involved.
